Steatite core is chemically inert and will withstand severe thermal shock and is impervious moisture. Element is highest quality copper-nickel alloy or nickel-chrome alloy, depending on ohm value. Special high temperature silicone coating, cured at much lower temperatures than vitreous enamels. Tinned leads. 5% resistance tolerance.
